i5 Customer Case Studies

Nothing speaks to the strategic importance and business impact of converged services more than hearing directly from Integra5’s customers about their own experiences.

Whether using converged services as a tool to add value to a bundle going through a price increase, as an up-sell incentive, for competitive differentiation or incremental charge to drive revenue growth – converged services are a versatile tool to blend the bundle and build your business.

Hargray Communications is a quad-play provider using converged services as a key competitive advantage to attract and up-sell subscribers. Integra5 surveyed nearly 600 Hargray TV caller ID customers, gauging satisfaction with TV caller ID, as well as interest in more advanced converged services, and the highlights included:

  • I want my TV caller ID! – 91% “love” or “like” TV caller ID.

  • Incremental revenue is out there – subscribers were willing to pay up to $3 per month for each incremental converged service.

  • Powerful word-of-mouth buzz – 81% “told” friends and neighbors about TV caller ID, and 58% have “shown” it.

One of the nation’s most innovative IOCs, Comporium provides quintuple play services – voice, video, high-speed Internet, wireless and home security – to residents and businesses in South Carolina. Comporium launched TV Caller ID to bring additional value to subscribers and competitive differentiation. Read the case study about the success of the initial launch. And in a 2007 survey of its subscribers, Comporium found that TV Caller ID boosts subscriber retention and satisfaction:

  • 25% said TV Caller ID is a “main reason” they continue subscribing to Comporium’s digital phone, TV and phone caller ID services.
  • TV Caller ID subs 30% more likely to rate Comporium as “great” than subs not using the service.

Everest, now part of SureWest Communications, successfully used TV Caller ID as a competitive retention tool to add value to a bundle undergoing a price increase. The application is viewed as its most popular offering – even more than VOD and DVR – and helps it “stand out” against much larger competitive service providers.
