Integra5 to Demonstrate New Capabilities in NCTA Broadband Home

Lexington, MA and New Orleans (May 3, 2004) - Integra5 Communications, a pioneer developer of products and applications that integrate television and telephone technology for broadband providers, will showcase two cross-platform applications in the NCTA National Show this week in New Orleans.

A live, real-time Visual Caller ID application will be in the Broadband Home section of the show. The visual caller ID system lets cable operators route caller ID information to the television screen where it appears on the call's first ring. Broadband Home visitors will be invited to use their cell phones to dial a number and see it displayed on a television set within the home. The Broadband Home is a specially constructed state-of-the-art fully wired cable home designed by the NCTA.

Additionally, Integra5 will demonstrate the ability to display voicemail message waiting indication on a television screen in the IP-Unity booth (#2603). IP-Unity, a major vendor of advanced voice mail and unified messaging services, is partnered with Integra5.

Both demonstrations emphasize Integra5's intention to help cable operators enhance the triple play bundle of voice, video and data by merging voice characteristics with the familiar television screen.

"State-of-the-art solutions like visual telephony are critical to giving operators an edge in the increasingly competitive and changing telecom market.," said Integra5 President and CEO Dr. Eyal Bartfeld. "Integra5 technology is all about enhancing the triple play bundling strategy."

A major cable operator has, since January, been trailing UniTV® on a Western U.S. cable system using time division multiplex (TDM) telephony.

"Integra5's recent market success recognizes the hard work our core team of engineers has accomplished in the last four years," said Research & Development Vice President Nimrod Gal-Oz."We have emphasized the delivery of focused, market-driven applications that reside on top of our basic UniTV® server technology to map three separate components - video, telephony and data - on the broadband network. The technology is scalable, distributed and supports a large variety of interfaces and protocols."

Integra5's capabilities deliver real-time calling information immediately, making it even more convenient for cable subscribers using broadband phones. The technology also supports multiple phone lines on multiple TVs.

"We are excited to move from the labs into real deployments and looking forward to working with broadband providers to enhance the triple play of voice, video and data," said Integra5 Chief Technology Officer Giora Keinan. "Cable television is a visual medium. With UniTV®, we are able to help broadband operators merge voice services with visuals, conveniently displaying calling information on the television screen."
