Integra5’s i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform Named a Finalist in the 2006 MITX Technology Awards

Innovative Converged Communications and Content Technology Recognized in Digital Service Delivery Platform Category for Bringing Service Provider Bundled Services to the Next Level

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- May 17, 2006 – Integra5, the pioneer in blending quad play service bundles by personalizing and converging real-time communications with subscriber-selected content, today announced that its i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform is a finalist in the 3rd Annual MITX Technology Awards in the Digital Service Delivery Platform category.

Produced by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), the MITX Technology Awards recognize innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements.

The Digital Service Delivery Platform category includes technologies and approaches that facilitate and enable the delivery of value add services over networks, primarily business to consumer.  MITX recognizes technology advancements across ten unique categories.

“Telco, cable and Internet service providers are looking to distance themselves from commodity service bundles by offering compelling new applications that blend voice, video, data and wireless into services that deliver increased consumer value and a unique user experience,” said Meredith Flynn-Ripley, chief operating officer, Integra5. “We are thrilled to be recognized by our peers in the New England business and technology community for Integra5’s contribution to the advancement of converged communications and content.”

The IMS-compatible i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform enables service providers to quickly deliver converged communications and content to any IP device using pre-packaged applications, such as caller ID and voicemail notifications to TVs and PCs. The platform also empowers subscribers to personalize these services using pictures, colors and text, and manage the way they are delivered across multiple devices. The i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform’s standards-based, distributed architecture can scale to support up to millions of subscribers and has the processing performance required for real-time delivery and management of signals and information between data, telephone (public switched and IP), cable TV (traditional and IPTV) and cellular networks.

“In its third year, the MITX Technology Awards have attracted some of the most distinguished technological innovations that the region has to offer,” said Kiki Mills, Executive Director of MITX.  “It is this tremendous interest that enables our organization to accomplish its mission of uniting the brightest minds in the technology community and honoring their outstanding achievement.”

Integra5 will be recognized alongside other finalists in the category of Digital Service Delivery Platform at an awards ceremony to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston on Wednesday, June 7, 2006.  The MITX Technology Awards are sponsored by Backbone Media, Lewis PR, Nixon Peabody LLP, Oracle, and MIT’s Technology Review.

The i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform has been commercially deployed with multiple service providers since mid-2004, including Knology, Everest, Comporium, Hargray, and Foothills Telephone Cooperative, among others.
