Integra5 Wins 2006 MITX Technology Award For Best Digital Service Delivery Platform
Innovative i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform Recognized Among Leading Technology Advancements in the New England Region
BURLINGTON, Mass. – June 9, 2006 – Integra5, the pioneer in blending quad-play service bundles into converged services today announced that its i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform has been named a winner in the 2006 MITX Technology Awards in the Digital Service Delivery Platform category. Honorees for this year's awards were announced Wednesday night in a ceremony at The Four Season's Hotel in Boston.
Produced by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, the MITX awards recognize innovative technologies in ten unique categories developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements.
The Digital Service Delivery Platform category includes technologies and approaches that facilitate and enable the delivery of value-add services over networks, primarily business to consumer. Ensim Corporation was also a finalist in the category.
"Integra5 is proud and honored to be recognized for our leadership and innovation among such esteemed competition," said Meredith Flynn-Ripley, Chief Operating Officer, Integra5. "In the rapidly converging service provider industry, competition is fierce – to stand out among the crowd, service providers need to offer innovative new services and applications, or risk losing subscribers. Since 2004, Integra5 has been helping its customers move beyond commodity bundled service offerings with the delivery of converged content and communications applications that combine voice, video, data and wireless services in ground-breaking new ways. The market for these cutting edge consumer services is growing rapidly, and this award validates our approach to creating and delivering these services."
The IMS-compatible i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform enables service providers to quickly deliver converged communications and content to any IP device using pre-packaged applications, such as caller ID and voicemail notifications to TVs and PCs. The platform empowers subscribers to personalize these services using pictures, colors and text, and manage and orchestrate the way they are delivered across multiple devices in the home. The i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform's standards-based, distributed architecture can scale to support up to millions of subscribers and has the processing performance required for real-time delivery and management of signals and information between data, telephone (public switched and IP), cable TV (traditional and IPTV) and cellular networks.
"The MITX Technology Awards celebrate innovation in our community and confirm that great technologies for building digital businesses are being created in New England," said Kiki Mills, executive director of MITX. "This year's honorees competed against more nominees than ever before and are very deserving of the recognition these awards bestow."
The 2006 MITX Technology Awards were sponsored by Backbone Media, LewisPR, Nixon Peabody LLP. Oracle and Technology Review. For a full list of winners go to:
