Integra5 to Feature i5 Converged Services Platform at CableLabs Winter Conference

Tru2way and cable demos showcase wide range of i5 converged services, highlighting click-to-call, personalization and call control features

BURLINGTON, Mass. – January 31, 2008 – Integra5, the pioneer in blending quad play bundles into converged services for simultaneous delivery across TVs and PCs, today announced it will feature a full range of i5 applications, powered by the i5 Converged Services Platform (CSP) at CableLabs Winter Conference Feb. 10-13, in Colorado Springs, Colo. The applications will be shown in both tru2way and standard cable environments.

The open standards-based i5 CSP – which blends voice, video, data and wireless communications and content into real-time applications spanning TVs, PCs and mobile phones – is deployed by cable and IPTV operators worldwide. The platform now features new software that seamlessly communicates with tru2way set-top boxes, enabling Integra5 to offer graphically rich converged services that operators can customize based on themes, affinity groups or other customer preferences.

i5 will host live demos highlighting the below applications, all of which include advanced features, such as i-Click™ (click-to-call), personalization and call control. 

• TV and PC Picture Caller ID: Subscribers can see who’s calling before the phone rings and ignore or divert calls to voicemail with the click of a button. Notifications can be personalized with pictures, nicknames, fonts and colors. 
• Voicemail Message Waiting Indication and Playback to TV:A message light on the set-top box flashes to indicate that voicemails are waiting. With Playback, subscribers can listen to live voicemail messages through TV speakers.
• Text Messaging to TV: SMS text messages can be sent from mobile phones to landline numbers and displayed on the TV. Subscribers can respond via their remote control.
• Content Alerts/News Feeds to TV: Subscribers can opt to receive customized news, weather and sports alerts.

The i5 CSP and accompanying applications are proven to significantly improve the uptake and retention of bundled services. Spurred on by the success of early converged services, operators are now leveraging the i5 CSP to quickly and easily roll out more advanced applications – as well as multiple applications at once – to increase subscriber “stickiness” and drive revenues.
