Integra5 Appoints Gene Lew as VP of Products and Strategy

Industry technology veteran brings advanced IP networking experience from Verizon, Time Warner Cable, MCI and NeuStar to new role spearheading i5 product strategy

WOBURN, Mass., — June 4, 2008 —Integra5, the leader in blending triple and quad play bundles into new communications experiences that span multiple devices, today announced that Gene Lew has been appointed vice president of products and strategy. Gene will lead Integra5’s global product strategy initiatives, guiding the rollout of new applications and capabilities for the company’s i5 Converged Services Platform (i5 CSP).

With more than 25 years of executive engineering experience in the telecom, cable, Internet and multimedia industries, Gene has worked with some of the nation’s top service providers and has been directly involved in the development of key IP communications technologies, including DSL, FTTH and cable modem services. Before joining Integra5, he served as vice president of IP advanced technology for international directory services provider NeuStar, leading the technology strategy for its global IP product offering. Prior to NeuStar, Gene was CTO for North America’s largest Internet exchange, PAIX/Switch and Data, where he oversaw peering and Internet eXchange technology and services.

“The success of initial converged applications in increasing ARPU, offering an alternative to price wars and generating subscriber loyalty, has led to demand for additional blended communications services that reach all devices in the home,” said Meredith Flynn-Ripley, CEO of Integra5. “With his extensive experience in the development of groundbreaking technologies, Gene is perfectly suited to continue to translate the opportunities in this rapidly evolving market into new revenue- and retention-building applications via the i5 CSP.”

Previous to PAIX/Switch and Data, Gene spent more than a decade working for national tier one operators. He was a consultant to Adelphia, Comcast and Cox, providing guidance on IP strategy, operations and engineering design. Gene also served as vice president of advanced technology at Road Runner, Time Warner Cable’s Internet division, managing strategy and development efforts for its broadband voice, video and data offerings.

Earlier in his career, Gene was vice president of advanced technology at Verizon, where he led the first commercial rollout of DSL broadband and helped deploy the nation’s first commercial FTTH deployment in Toms River, N.J. This early work provided the foundation for the evolution of fiber networks, including what is now Verizon FiOS. Gene’s engineering team at Verizon also participated in laying the architectural groundwork for how present-day digital set-top boxes — including those from Cisco, DirecTV and Motorola — interoperate within the network. Gene began his career with MCI during the 1980s, where he contributed to early developments in VPN, messaging and IP networking technologies.

“As the leader in the converged services space, Integra5 is well positioned to continue to pave the way in bundle differentiation and subscriber retention,” said Gene Lew. “I’m looking forward to helping Integra5 deliver new applications that further integrate advanced features such as wireless, personalization and call management — changing the way people communicate across the TV, PC, and landline and mobile phones.”
